This blog is for the new direction my wood carving art is taking me. To the canvas and easel. As I have learned, almost all color theory is found in canvas based art. I found that as I was reading how to employ for a carving, I had the urge to buy a canvas and just give it a try. You will find mostly a loose or impressionistic style as the two concepts of color and composition are dominant. That works for me.

Marc Hanson Class Studies
Took a week class with Marc Hanson. Wow. what a lot of stuff. Well I doubled my total painting output to 16 paintings. I'll take another class once I have done at least 100 more.

We talked in your garage, and you showed me some carved ducks!? Congratulations on painting, I think Marc would be an excellent artist to show you the ropes! I'll stop by again..
